Card browser

As your collection grows, instead of browsing deck by deck, you need to search and filter all your cards in a single list. That's what the card browser is for.

Search and filtering

The search box at the top does a simple full-text search over the words in your field text. There is no query syntax like deck:, tag:, or is:due; structural filtering instead happens through a separate filter panel, organized into tabs:

  • Folder
  • Deck
  • Note Type
  • Card (queue status / template)
  • Tag
  • Flag

In each tab, you can further narrow down by the value you pick, with options like "all / with this / without this." For sorting, you can choose from options like position, creation/modification time, due date, stability, difficulty, review count, lapse count, and queue status.

Bulk actions

Once you select one or more cards (long-press to enter selection mode), you can apply the following actions in bulk:

  • Preview
  • Select all (every currently filtered result, beyond the current page limit)
  • Change flag
  • Bury / Unbury
  • Freeze / Unfreeze: suspends the card indefinitely, unlike burying
  • Change deck
  • Change due date
  • Rate now: applies an immediate FSRS rating to the card, outside the normal study flow
  • Delete

Bulk tag add/remove, bulk note type changes, and bulk export from the browser don't exist yet. You have to do these one at a time by editing the note.
